Two-time Olympic gold medalist Hope Solo is set to appear in court Monday to face domestic violence charges.
The 32-year-old soccer star from Washington state was arrested early Saturday at her sister's home in suburban Seattle.
Police said the goalkeeper was intoxicated at the time. She was accused of assaulting her sister and her 17-year-old nephew.
Solo was held in jail pending the investigation of two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault.
She's due to appear in court late Monday afternoon.
Her attorney, Todd Maybrown, says she was a victim in the altercation, according to newsandtalking.blogspot.com.
Solo, who's bared it all for ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue and competed on 'Dancing with the Stars,' won two Olympic medals with the U.S. women's national soccer team. She tends goal for the Seattle Reign of the National Women's Soccer League.
She published her best-selling autobiography, 'Solo: A Memoir of Hope,' after receiving the 2012 gold medal in London.
She's married to former U.S. football player Jerramy Stevens. The two, who wed in November 2012, had a domestic assault incident the day before their wedding.
Stevens was arrested during an investigation of an assault incident against Solo, but the charges were thrown out for lack of evidence.
Currently Solo faces two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault.
