Samsung is expected to launch its first Android Wear smartwatch at the Google I/O event.
There have been reports suggesting that Samsung might unveil the smartwatch next week. The Samsung smartwatch will be similar to the company's Gear lineup, the report says. The company is believed to be working on two models of an Android Wear smartwatch. Out of the two, one is using Samsung's own chip whereas the other one is powered by Qualcomm chip. But it is not known which one of these models will be launched at the Google I/O event. Some leaked information last month, hinted at a Moto 360-like Samsung Android smartwatch. As per the leaked information, the main feature of the device seemed to be its capacity to support hand gestures, which indicates that users might just move their wrist in order to control the device. The band of the smartwatch can also be put to use for controlling the device. Samsung is also believed to have started work on the Gear Solo standalone watch-phone.
