BOSTON (AP) - Wynn Resorts says its proposed $1.6 billion casino in Everett would include $50 million in traffic-related improvements.

The casino, at a Massachusetts Gaming Commission meeting Friday, said it conducted an 'exhaustive' study of 57 intersections in seven communities and the MBTA's Orange line.

Wynn's plan to soften traffic impacts include improvements to area rotaries, providing regular water shuttles and buses and providing Zipcar and Hubway bike share options on site.

The commission is reviewing transportation and traffic impacts related to Wynn's casino proposal as well as Mohegan Sun's proposed $1.2 billion Revere casino, which calls for $45 million in transportation improvements.

The hearing sets the stage for two separate public meetings next week on the casino plans, which are competing for the lone gambling license in the Boston-area.
