Top Apple executives publicly praise Beats Electronics' new ad
With tech giant Apple having announced plans to acquire high-end headphone maker Beats Electronics in a $3 billion deal, two top executives of Apple - CEO Tim Cook and SVP Eddy Cue - are public raving about an a new ad released by Beats.
The latest Beats ad which Cook and Cue are praising is the called 'The Game Before The Game.' The short versions of the ad run on television; while a longer, five-minute runs online, and pivots around the forthcoming World Cup.
Featuring Brazil's Neymar Jr. and France's BacarySagna, among others, the online version of the new Beats ad shows - after a brief buildup - the athletes putting on their Beats headphones. A pounding, hand-clapping soundtrack then kicks in, by the way of a thumping song called 'Jungle' by X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons.
The new 'The Game Before The Game' ad by Betas is definitely more rocking and youth-centered as compared to Apple's recent contemplative and philosophical commercial as part of its 'What Will Your Verse Be?' advertising campaign.
With both Cook and Cue being huge Duke basketball fans, Cook applauded Beats effort in a tweet saying, 'The Game Before The Game. The team at #Beats captures it perfectly. A must watch before #World Cup;' while Cue said in a tweet: 'As a huge sports fan, I love 'The Game Before The Game'.'
