Warriors weigh deal for Kevin Love
The Golden State Warriors have greatly increased their chances of acquiring All-Star forward Kevin Love by making sharpshooting swingman Klay Thompson available to Love's Minnesota Timberwolves in trade talks, according to sources close to the situation.
Love said earlier this month that it 'burns me and hurts my heart' that he hasn't made the playoffs in six seasons in the NBA, but stopped short of confirming that he's determined to opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent in 2015.
Another team rumored to be interested in Love is the New York Knicks.
'I think any time you have Phil Jackson involved in any organization, you're going to definitely look at it and it's definitely intriguing,' Love said. 'The Knicks are definitely a place where anybody would like to go.'
