NHL awards & all the stuff around it. Offseason primer. Surgery for Quick. College guys. Cover vote winner. Lindros, HHoFer? US Mutant Ninja Turtles. Suarez = DICK. Other soccer. We suck at flirting. Northwestern dipshits. And people aren't food. Hump. Day.
'Hey, remember when Patrick Roy was considered a good NHL head coach?' -- no one, in 2018.
BLUES NEWS: Nothing on the Blues front, but we DID attempt an open thread for the 2014 NHL Awards. Even though the Blues weren't at all involved. (Winners shown next) HOCKEY NEWS: Here's how the voting went down for the NHL Awards. Sidney Crosby won the Hart and Lindsey awards, Patrice Bergeron got the Selke, Duncan Keith (for some reason) won the Norris and others. Some Blues (Alex Pietrangelo, 5th, Norris . . . David Backes, 4th, Selke) were closer than many would think to some awards. The best and worst of the show, according to Ryan Lambert. [Puck Daddy] I didn't watch, but apparently Cuba Gooding, Jr. didn't do so hot. [Puck Daddy] Sean McIndoe (Down Goes Brown) gives us a primer for the offseason. [Grantland] Jonathan Quick injured his wrist in the Kings series with the Ducks, and he had surgery on that wrist yesterday. College players are undervalued in the NHL Entry Draft. Which is a damn shame . . . a lot of really good players in college, I say. [Washington Post] The aforementioned Patrice Bergeron apparently has defeated P.K. Subban and will adorn the NHL 15 cover. So that's over. Fucking finally. Joe Yerdon explains why Eric Lindros SHOULD be in the Hockey Hall of Fame. And I agree. [Pro Hockey Talk] 2014 FIFA
Luis Suarez apparently needs to watch this video . . . I mean, three bites in World Cup play? Goddamn impressive, but shit. (S/T to J-Mill):
Om nom nom.
