Adam Levine will act for free.

The Maroon 5 rocker revealed he took the role in upcoming romantic comedy 'Begin Again,' opposite Keira Knightley, for no money at all.

'I did this movie for no money. I'm very lucky that I'm in that position,' Levine told USA Today in an interview.

With a successful music career and a steady pay check from his run as vocal coach on 'The Voice,' There's no question where his next meal will come from, and Levine is taking full advantage of it.

'I want to have good experiences. I don't want to do a bunch of (expletive) that I hate. I want to treat (acting) completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money.'

'I'm so happy that I get to have this life,' he added. 'It's funny because no one knows how good my life is as well as I do.'

Even his 'Begin Again' co-star Knightley, 29, told the newspaper that she'd like a bit of his confidence.

'He gets to choose to do whatever he wants to do, which is a lovely position to be in,' Knightley said. 'He is that confident. Can they bottle it?'

Not one to hold his tongue, the 'Misery' singer explained how else he takes advantage of his wealth - by never doing his own chores.

'I have news for you: Whether or not you do your own laundry does not make you humble,' Levine said.

The often unabashed rocker recently opened up to GQ magazine about his less than flattering reputation - while giving off a bit more of his arrogance.

'I'm not the easiest person to love right off the bat, you know,' he said. 'If I knew everyone in the world, they would love me. Every single last f--king one of them.'
