Director Bryan Singer teases 'X

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer has released a teaser image which shows he's currently working on X-Men: Apocalypse's script.

It was recently confirmed by Fox executives that Bryan Singer would be back to direct X-Men: Apocalypse despite his recent legal troubles. Now we have a shot of the film's script, which he released via Instagram:

We can't see too much from the teaser image, but Singer did an excellent job promoting X-Men: Days of Future Past on Instagram and Twitter, so we imagine he'll be doing the same with Apocalypse as he works on finalizing the script and heads into production.

After Singer completely avoided X-Men: Days of Future Past's press tour, Singer has begun stepping into the spotlight again. He also recently tweeted that he and writer Simon Kinberg had taken a break from working on X-Men: Apocalypse's script so that they could watch the World Cup.

Now it seems he's back to working on the script and we imagine we'll start to hear more about the story and which mutants will be involved over the next few months.

The director recently said, '[Apocalypse] will also address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. It's something that's always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers.'

Fans seemed excited to find out that Singer would be back to direct X-Men: Apocalypse after Days of Future Past was so well received. The film has also become the highest grossing film of 2014, coming in at $712M worldwide.

We look forward to hearing more about X-Men: Apocalypse as it nears its May 27, 2016 release date.
