Justin Bieber takes 10

The singer is back in the good books after taking 10-year-old cancer patient Grace Kesablak as his date to the Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on the weekend.

Make-A-Wish foundation recipient Kesablak took photos with Bieber on the red carpet, shared his table and later joined the singer onstage to accept the Champ of Charity Award, where he enthusiastically embraced her, the Boston Herald reported.

Bieber received the award for having granted a record 200 wishes through the foundation. While Kesablak was looking pretty in party-style pink, Bieber kept it casual in jeans and canvas shoes.

Foundation CEO David Williams had earlier said of Bieber: '(He) understands the impact on a child of a wish-come-true and how it can create positive changes in their outlook, help them feel better - and even influence their health.'

The singer later tweeted Kesablak's Instagram photo of them together. Her caption said: '@justinbieber just accepted his 'Champ For Charity' award on behalf of #makeawishfoundation at the #younghollywoodawards ... and then invited me on stage to donate the award to me ... AND I got to keep it!!! Most magical moment ... EVER.'

Bieber tweeted back: 'You deserve it grace!'

Bieber has more often made the news lately for acting out and run-ins with the law, making his obvious soft-side at the Awards event even more surprising. After an arrest earlier this year for reckless driving in Miami, Bieber was required to attend anger management classes.
