Red Sox send Jackie Bradley to Triple A, call up Mookie Betts

The Red Sox recalled outfielder Mookie Betts from Triple A Pawtucket Monday and optioned outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. to Pawtucket.


This will be Betts's third stint this season with the major league team. He has appeared in 13 games for the Red Sox and is batting .244 with two doubles, a home run, and two RBIs. He has played both center and right field in the majors.


Bradley has spent the entire season with the Red Sox after making the team out of spring training, but was batting only .216 with 30 RBIs.
