Robin Williams Emmy Tribute to Be "Proper and Meaningful Remembrance"

Robin Williams is set to be honored with a tribute during Monday's Emmy award telecast.

'Plans for the In Memoriam segment are in discussion,' Emmys executive producer Don Mischer confirmed in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. 'While we are all still coming to terms with this week's tragic news, we are working to give Robin Williams the proper and meaningful remembrance he so well deserves.'

Williams, 63, passed away on Aug. 11 of a suspected suicide at his Tiburon, Calif. home. In the two days since his death, his close friends and the entertainment industry at large have mourned the beloved actor and comedian and flooded social media with tribute messages.

On Tuesday, Mischer told TV Guide about some of the plans for a potential In Memoriam tribute. 'It's about what can we do to properly remember Robin and create perhaps an emotional moment about him,' he described to the magazine.
