Sir Ian McKellen Helps Man Propose To “Star Trek” Obsessed Boyfriend
Brett Lotriet wanted to ask Khalid Shawwa to marry him. Turns out his intended is obsessed with all things Star Trek, particularly that chrome dome hottie Jean Luc Picard ( Patrick Stewart), so while Lotriet obviously couldn't risk introducing a Federation captain to the relationship ( because astronaut trumps everything), he could maybe enlist a friend of one to help him. And to vouch that there weren't any captains available.
I'm not a fan of stunt proposals, but hey, if you've got access to Gandalf, go for it!
