Apple Pay and Alipay considering partnership

Apple and Alibaba could join forces in the mobile payment segment and this could lead to more competition in the market as Wal-Mart aims to setup CurrentC to compete with Apple's latest system. Apple recently launched a secure system for mobile phone users to make payments with iPhone 6.

At two separate events, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Alibaba CEO Jack Ma said that they are open to partnership. At Wall Street Journal's WSJD live, Jack Ma said that he is interested in partnership with Apple for mobile payments. Ma added, 'A good marriage needs both sides to work. I respect Apple and respect Tim very, very much.'

Apple CEO Tim Cook said recently, 'We are going to talk about getting married later this week. I have the utmost respect for Jack.'
