Blues legend B.B. King cancels remaining shows in tour due to exhaution
B.B. King is 89 years old and still singing the blues, but this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer might have pushed himself too hard.
An announcement was made on the singer's website after B.B. King felt sick during his latest performance Friday night at the House of Blues in Chicago.
'He was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion whereby causing the eight remaining shows of his current tour to be cancelled,' the statement read.
Back in April, fans were upset with B.B. King's performance in St. Louis where he spent more time telling stories than actually singing songs.
The blues guitarist has been topping charts since 1952 but King believes he still has room to learn more about his craft and improve as a musician.
'I hope I am. I can't always tell because I still can't play like I want to play. It's good for me when I'm feeling bad. And good for me when I'm feeling good,' King toldCBS News in an interview.
King had 8 shows left to perform in his tour which would have taken him to states including Indiana, South Carolina, and New York.
