The story of Leah Still's battle with cancer has inspired goodwill for the Bengals' Devon Still, Leah's father, throughout the NFL.
Still and the Bengals defensive tackle found yet another touching tribute in New England on Sunday night.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced the organization is making a $25,000 donation to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in support of Leah.
Devon Still also noted his daughters affinity for cheerleaders recently, posting a picture of the Ben-gals cheerleading squad wearing special 'Sill Strong' and 'Woman of Still' shirts on Friday. He wrote: 'Leah is going to be hype when she sees this pic she loves cheerleaders.'
With that in mind, Sunday night, New England's cheerleaders wore Still's No. 75 Bengals jersey on the sidelines.
Still was shown on camera as the a picture of 4-year-old Leah on Gillette Stadium scoreboard. A tear rolled down the big man's cheek, right past the eye black that he had 'Leah Strong' etched into.
Earlier this season, the NFL announced it would donate proceeds from the sale of Still's jersey to cancer research.
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton notably supported the effort by purchasing 100 Still jerseys shortly after the announcement.
Last week, Still wrote on his Instagram account - which stars Leah and her beautiful smile quite prominently - that his daughter had a near six-hour surgery to remove tumors, which was the 'best news I received in a long time.'
Leah Still continues to be an inspiration, but is not yet out of the woods, Devon says. She began her fifth round of chemotherapy recently.
