Megan Fox misses Turtles premiere

Megan Fox has had to pull out of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Chinese premiere after being struck down by a skin allergy.

When the actress failed to join her co-stars on the red carpet in Beijing, speculation began online that she had stayed away due to the terrible pollution in the city.

But a spokeswoman for the Megan told the Hollywood Reporter: 'She had an allergic reaction but not because of the pollution.'

Megan joined fellow cast member William Fichtner, producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form and Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore at a press conference in the Shangri-La hotel earlier in the day.

During the conference, Megan said when she had opened the windows of her hotel, she was able to see how beautiful Beijing was.

October 25, the day the actress arrived in Beijing, was one of the most heavily polluted days of the year, when the Chinese capital was shrouded in smog, although levels were much better a day later, when the premiere took place.

Megan's schedule for October 27 was reportedly cancelled, although sources said she was due to visit the Great Wall of China during the day.
