(CBS) The Bulls held their first practice of the season Tuesday morning at the new Advocate Center, and Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau didn't wait long in revealing who the starters are - at least at this moment in time.

The first unit for the Bulls on Tuesday was comprised of Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Mike Dunleavy, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah. That was the lineup that was widely speculated to get the first look, but Thibodeau also is open to toying with the lineup.

'I want to experiment with some things in the preseason just to see how everything fits,' Thibodeau said. 'I do like the versatility of our bigs because I think they can all play with each other, and that's a big plus. What may work best for our team, I'm not sure yet. Same thing with the perimeter guys. The one thing we know is that Kirk (Hinrich) gives us great flexibility. That's one of the reasons I think he's so important to our team. You can play him at the point. You can play him at the two. You can start him, you can bring him off the bench. That's critical.'

Everyone on the Bulls participated in Tuesday's practice, Thibodeau confirmed, including Noah, who is getting back into the full swing of things after arthroscopic left knee surgery in May.
