Report: Yankees get SS Didi Gregorius in three

The New York Yankees have found their replacement for Derek Jeter, who retired at the end of the 2014 season.

The Yankees acquired shortstop Didi Gregorius from the Arizona Diamondbacks as part of a three-team deal that also includes the Detroit Tigers, according to several media reports.

WFAN radio station in New York first reported the trade.

The Yankees would send pitcher Shane Greene to Detroit in the deal while the Tigers would send pitcher Robbie Ray and an infielder to the Diamondbacks.

This isn't this first time the three teams got together for a blockbuster deal. In 2009, the Diamondbacks sent pitcher Max Scherzer to the the Tigers, the Tigers traded outfielder Curtis Granderson to the Yankees and the Yankees sent pitcher Ian Kennedy to Arizona.
