The San Diego Chargers are still in the playoff hunt as they prepare to kick off their game against the Denver Broncos at 1:05 p.m. today at Qualcomm Stadium.

The game can be viewed locally on CBS 8.

The Chargers enter at 8-5after falling to the New England Patriots last week at home, 23-14. That snapped a 3-game winning streak for the Chargers.

Denver enters at 10-3 in first place in the AFC West and battling the Patriots for homefield advantage in the AFC playoffs.

San Diego, on the other hand, is still fighting just to get into the AFC playoffs. If the postseason started today the Chargers would be in as a wildcard team. However, most experts project that it will take 10 wins to make the postseason, meaning the Chargers need to win two of their last three games. After today, the Chargers play at San Francisco on Saturday and at Kansas City on Dec. 28 to end the season.
