The new 'Avatar'-theme world is expected to open in 2017. It will be the largest park expansion in the Animal Kingdom's history, Disney said.
Back in 2010, shortly after the film was released, CNN reported that some audience members were experiencing depression and even suicidal thoughts because they longed to live on Pandora.

'Ever since I went to see 'Avatar' I have been depressed,' one user named Mike wrote on a fan site for the film. 'Watching the wonderful world of Pandora and all the Na'vi made me want to be one of them. I can't stop thinking about all the things that happened in the film and all of the tears and shivers I got from it.'
Maybe the new world will help cure some of those Avatar blues.
