Nearly half of older workers are planning on delaying retirement, and the overwhelming majority expect to work for pay during their retirement, according to a new poll.
A new survey by AP and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that 47 percent of working Americans over 50 plan to delay retirement for at least three years, until 66, and 82 percent of those surveyed said they expect to have to work for some income even after they retire.
Older working Americans were hit hard by the recent recession, and according to financial analysts feel the need to make up for lost money during that time.
