Report: Dodgers agree to one

UPDATE: The Dodgers and Perez have indeed agreed to terms on a one-year deal according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. The contract is pending a physical, which Perez will take today. Terms are still unknown.

Free agent right-hander Chris Perez is closing in on a one-year contract with the Dodgers, reports Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times. Financial terms of the deal are unknown.
Perez, 28, saved 123 games for the Indians from 2010-13 but was released a few weeks ago. He had a 4.33 ERA (87 ERA+) this past season and was particularly awful in the second half, allowing 17 runs in 27 1/3 innings (5.60 ERA).
Back in June, Perez and his wife were arrested for marijuana possession. They reportedly had it shipped to their home in their dog's name. Perez plead no contest in September and was placed on probation for a year. He's also made controversial statements about the Indians' ownership and attendance in the past.
The Dodgers re-signed both Brian Wilson and J.P. Howell this offseason, so Perez will join those two as the primary bridge to closer Kenley Jansen. Paco Rodriguez, Brandon League and Chris Withrow figure to round out the rest of the bullpen.
