Demi Lovato slams paparazzi 'bullies': "Why does it have to be a war?"
Demi Lovato has spoken out against paparazzi 'bullies' after gesturing at photographers yesterday (June 23).
The singer was spotted sticking up her middle finger at a group of photographers in New York after they allegedly verbally abused her as she headed into a Logo TV event at the Cathedral of St John the Divine.
She later took to Twitter to explain her actions, while hitting out at paparazzi who treat celebrities unfairly.
'When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you're respectful to me, I'll be respectful back,' she insisted. 'Why does it have to be a war of celebs against paps?'
Of course if you yell horrible things, I'm not gonna work with you. I'll pose if you are respectful and not being bullies.

She continued: 'I wanted to stop for my fans today/tonight really bad because I love you so much but I can't deal with how mean those paps are.'
I always try to stop because I appreciate every single one of you, so if I don't get to you please know I'm sorry and I love you

She added: 'Sometimes staying strong means not putting yourself in uncomfortable or triggering situations.'
Demi Lovato recently spoke in depth about her past treatments in rehab, saying: 'You can't just take your mind and your body into the shop and get it fixed. It doesn't come out repaired. It's not like a car.
'It takes time - pace yourself. Every day is a new opportunity to change your life and be who you want to be.'
She will head out on a joint headline tour of the UK with Enrique Iglesias later this year.
