Linkin Park Rocks mtvU's Fandom Awards With New Hit 'Wastelands'
Celebrating pop culture and the millions of diehard fans who support every aspect of it, Linkin Park took the stage at the 2014 mtvU Fandom Awards for a killer performance of their new hit single, 'Wastelands.' Chester Bennington, 38, Mike Shinoda, 37, and the rest of LP headlined the awards show and kept the crowd hyped for the night.

What better way to celebrate the the fandoms of the world than to let them crowd surf onto an MTV stage?
That's what Linkin Park was thinking when they took the stage at the 2014 mtvU Fandom Awards on Thursday, July 24 in San Diego, Calif.
Not only did the band get the crowd hyped and 'bouncing,' but their fans could be seen moshing right in front of the stage while others surfed above their friends heads in hopes of getting up close and personal with their favorite singers, Chester and Mike.
'Wastelands' is a brand-new track from Linkin Park which is slated to be on their new album, The Hunting Party - the band's SIXTH studio album since 2000.

The best part of Linkin Park's performance? It was smack in the middle of 2014′s Comic-Con at San Diego's Petco Park, where over 4,500 fans had a front-row seat to the show. Awesome!
At the end of the show, Linkin Park performed another new hit, 'Until It's Gone.'
