Jurrell Casey, Titans reach 4
The Titans on Wednesday agreed to a multi-year contract extension with defensive lineman Jurrell Casey.
Casey's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, traveled to Nashville to meet face-to-face with Titans officials on Tuesday, and the two sides wrapped up months of talks on Wednesday.
Casey and the Titans agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $36 million, including $20 million in guaranteed money. According to agent Drew Rosenhaus, Casey is now the highest paid player on the Titans roster, and his guaranteed money is the highest on the team.
Casey racked up 90 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 2013, his third season in the NFL.
'We are excited to come to an agreement on an extension with Jurrell,' said Titans general manager Ruston Webster. 'This is something Jurrell has earned not only with his play on the field but his work ethic as well. We appreciate Jurrell's professionalism through this process and look forward to many good years to come.'
