Nicki Minaj Officially Gives Up On Shirts
Nicki Minaj has come back into our lives in full force this past week, and we are very happy about it. First, there was her verse on 'Bang Bang,' then came the Beyonce 'Flawless' remix, and now she's on the cover of The Fader's Fall Fashion issue. In the past week we've just, like, eaten a bunch of pizza. Nicki's week > our week.
The Fader
We've known for a long time that Nicki hates shirts-she headed the shirtless trend last year-and her distaste for them is obvious in the spread. The photos feature Nicki in a number of bras, which are all paired with her new, low-key beauty aesthetic. Considering she once described bras as 'the devil,' she wears a lacy white one with gold pants like she's the undergarment's number one fan.
The Fader
In another shot, she wears a bright red bra and high-waisted black skirt. From hating bras to wearing them proudly (and perfectly) in a magazine-it's amazing how a year can change a person, eh? Nicki's recent reinvention, it seems, was spurred by a desire to distance herself from the pop music world and, at the same time, move closer to hip-hop. 'Looking back now, I love that I was pushed to reinvent myself,' she tells Fader, 'because when I sit back and I really look, I need hip-hop, and hip-hop needs me.'

The most exciting revelation (IMHO), though, comes at the end of the piece, when Nicki shares that she's planning a deal with HSN. Y'know, the place where she recently released her latest fragrance, Minajesty Exotic? Yeah, Nicki shares our excitement, saying in the interview, 'A female rapper! With HSN!'
