Report: Packers DT B.J. Raji out for season with torn biceps

NFL

Packers defensive tackle B.J. Raji is believed to have torn his right biceps in Green Bay's 31-21 preseason win over the Raiders on Friday night, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday.

Head coach Mike McCarthy said Raji 'felt confident' about the injury after the game, but they are now awaiting tests to see if it is a full or a partial tear, according to Rapoport.

San Francisco nose tackle Glenn Dorsey is expected to miss most, if not all, of the season with a torn biceps.

Raji, 28, signed a one-year, $4 million deal this offseason. In five seasons with the Packers, the ninth pick of the 2009 draft out of Boston College has 10.5 sacks and has missed only four games.

The belief is that #Packers NT BJ Raji tore his bicep last night, sources say. Tests will show whether it's fully or partially torn.
