Robinson Cano leaves game early due to dizziness
By Matt Snyder | Baseball Writer
Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano had to leave Sunday's game in Boston early due to a bout of dizziness, the club announced. Given that Cano didn't suffer a blow to the head, it seems likely that he's just sick, but nothing further was announced.
Cano, 31, is hitting .326/.394/.465 with 11 homers and 70 RBI this season.
The Mariners entered Sunday with a one-game lead over Detroit for the second AL wild card spot, so obviously losing Cano for any period of time impacts the playoff race.
