Cosby's Walk Of Fame Star Repaired After Being Vandalized

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) - Bill Cosby's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized, according to an Instagram photo posted Friday.

The word 'Rapist' was written three times on the star, located on the south side of the 6900 block of Hollywood Boulevard, according to Hip Hop Weekly Magazine.

BuzzFeed News confirmed the words were still faintly visible just after 9 a.m.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said the star was being cleaned at 10 a.m. and released the following statement regarding the incident:

'The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark.'

In recent weeks, dozens of women have claimed Cosby drugged and raped them.

At least one civil lawsuit has been filed by a Riverside County woman who accused the 77-year-old actor of molesting her at the Playboy Mansion in the mid-1970's.

Cosby has not specifically addressed the accusations made against him.
