Film “Southside With You” Features Barack and Michelle Obama's First Date
The movie based on Barack and Michelle Obama's first date has been confirmed.
The announcement of a movie 'Southside With You' will took back audience in 1989 when the couple was young and met each other. However, the Obamas will not be seen acting in a movie.
In a film, the character of young Michelle will be played by Tiki Sumpter. Sumpter is known for her roles in 'Gossip Girls' and 'The Haves and Have Nots'. Also she wrote the screenplay of the movie.
No one has been cast to play young Barack yet. The movie will be directed by Richard Tanne.
The shooting will be started in Chicago next July. The movie will be based on the Obamas' first date. In their past interviews, the couple has spoken about it very fondly.
The story based on young Barack, 27, who completed his first year at Harvard University. He was law firm 'Sidley Austin's' summer associate. It was a place where he first met Michelle Robinson, 25. She was a lawyer who was selected as his mentor.
After spending some time with his future wife, Barack put lots of effort in their very first date. He took her to the Chicago's Art Institute; there in courtyard of museum they had a lunch. Next, they walked around the city and in the end they went to see 'Do The Right Thing' by Spike Lee.
Outside a Baskin-Robbins, the couple ended their date with a kiss. Later after three years, both had decided to get married. Now after 25 years being together, both are proud parents of their daughters, Malia and Sasha.
It wasn't announced yet that when the film 'Southside With You' will be released but it seems like it will be released on 2016's Valentine's Day.
