Misty's father Charles Upham now wants the FBI to get involved in the investigation of his daughter's mysterious death, and insists that she did not commit suicide. Misty Upham's Cause Of Death Revealed: Dad Wants FBI Involved
'The medical examiner released a report that Misty's death was due to blunt force trauma to the head and torso but could not determine the manner of death, ' Charles Upham tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Misty died on Oct. 5, the same day she went missing and the same day her parents called the Auborn Police to help search for their daughter, who suffered from bi-polar disorder. Since the time of the actress' disappearance, Charles insisted that she did not commit suicide. Now the family has NEW information that foul play may have played a role. Was their daughter murdered?
'We have been provided with new information that Misty met with foul play. No details are known at this time,' Charles says. 'The medical examiner was contacted and notified with this new information, and urged the Upham family to get the FBI involved. The Upham family has reported the matter to police and requested that the FBI be involved in the investigation. Detective Loran Orvis responded by email and acknowledged receiving the information and said she would pass it on to her supervisors.'
Misty's family and friends begged the police to help find the actress when she didn't return home, but they say law enforcement did very little to search for her.
'We the family organized the search and rescue when the Auburn PD refused to help,' Charles explains. 'Now our friends and family are launching our own investigation in the disappearance of Misty. It is our hope that this information is not true but in the case it is we want answers and justice for Misty.'
Charles is convinced that Misty would still be alive today if her health and well-being were taken more seriously by those who could have helped her.
'My message to everyone is to not let this happen to a loved one. Be pro-active. Misty's death could have been prevented. I hope the mental, medical and law enforcement communities never let this happen,' Charles tells us.
Misty's friends continue to send messages of hope and support to the family, but every day is a stubble for the grieving family.
'We miss Misty terribly, especially now during the holiday season. It's just day by day. We are just holding each other up. I visit places in Seattle that she liked to go to and find comfort that way. I can feel her spirit in these places. I am missing her so much. My wife is coming apart at the seams.'
