Super Smash Bros Wii U: Users encounter memory issue, director hints no more ...
Nintendo Wii users have reported memory issues clouting Super Smash Bros that made it impossible for them to play the game. Others reported that their console simply stopped working after reformatting and had to ship the console back to Nintendo for repair.
'A small percentage of consumers playing Wii U may experience error codes (160-0103 and 160-1710) that could affect the ability of the system to function properly,' Nintendo announced via Miiverse.
The team also advised players to reach out to their hotline to report any issue that impedes them from playing Super Smash Bros.
It also seemed like the issue in not exclusively to Super Smash Bros as suggested by posts in Nintendo tech forums.
Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U launched to good reviews and raves within the gaming community.
IGN gave the title an almost perfect score of 9.8, which is equivalent to 'amazing'.
'Nearly every aspect of Smash Wii U seems fine-tuned not only to appeal to the nostalgia of long-time Nintendo fans, but also to be accessible to new players. Once they're hooked, it draws them in deeper with a set of great modes and tempting rewards,' IGN's Jose Otero said.
Super Smash Bros sold 490,000 units in just three days in North America, a testament to the solid fanbase of the game. It has also sparked more hope for Nintendo to close the year strong after feeble sales earlier in the year.
The immense success of Super Smash Bros is largely tied to the genius that is Masahiro Sakurai. However, the game creator hinted that this could be his last project in an interview with Game Informer.
'I can't positively declare there won't be [another Smash Bros. game],' says Sakurai.
'However, as for myself, I don't think there will be.'
Super Smash Bros launched in October for 3DS and in November for Wii U.
