Percy Harvin doubtful vs. Saints

RENTON, Wash. -- One game after making his season debut, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin probably will not play Monday night against the New Orleans Saints.

Harvin did not practice again Saturday, doing only rehab work, and officially was listed as doubtful for Monday's game because of continuing soreness in his surgically repaired hip.

'We don't see any big issue, structurally,' Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Saturday. 'It's just [the way his hip is] responding from the load of the game [against Minnesota on Nov. 17]. He had 16 active plays in there, so it wasn't very much.

'He's just sore. So we don't want to push it. It's not worth it.'

Harvin, who had major hip surgery on Aug. 1 to repair a torn labrum, made his Seahawks debut two weeks ago against his former Vikings teammates, returning a kickoff 58 yards and making an impressive fingertip catch on a 17-yard pass.

Carroll said Harvin was 'a little sore' after the game, but nothing serious. But even with the extra week because of the Seahawks' bye, Harvin wasn't able to practice.

'We've kept him rehabilitating throughout the week,' Carroll said. 'We thought with all the days off, it would work together, but he didn't make it back like we thought he would.

'We have to go day to day. That's the only way we can do.'
