Cris “Cyborg” to Begin Bantamweight Run at Invicta FC 10

Not long after Ronda Rousey and Cris 'Cyborg' directed 'pleasantries' at one another through the media, Invicta FC has announced that the latter will make her bantamweight debut for the promotion on December 5th. That's right, after months of debate as to whether the day would come when 'Cyborg' would return to 135, it looks like it's going to happen before the year is out (yes, assuming the cut goes as planned, etc, etc).

The announcement was made on a recent segment of 'The UFC Minute', as UFC Fight Pass is Invicta's broadcasting partner. Who 'Cyborg' will fight, however, wasn't confirmed.

The location and venue for Invicta FC 10 also wasn't announced, but the clip did relay that flyweight champ Barb Honchak will fight Takayo Hashi on November 1st at Invicta FC 9.

'Cyborg' will be competing in a MMA bout for the first time since last July, when she took out Marloes Coenen in the fourth round and became Invicta FC's featherweight champ. More recently the Brazilian was decisioned by Jorina Baars in March, but that was a kickboxing match under the Lion Fight banner.

So, one would think Invicta FC 10 will have plenty of interest behind it, as 'Cyborg' will be looking to kick off her pursuit of Rousey in winning fashion.
