Gwen Stefani's setting her fashion career aside for a bit to get back to her roots and into the studio. In a new interview with MTV News, Stefani said she has both a solo album and a No Doubt album on the horizon.
MTV's Christina Garibaldi caught Stefani on a New York Fashion Week red carpet -- see the video below -- where the singer said she would record with Pharrell that night. 'I'm going to be writing and also just seeing what comes along my way,' she said. (Stefani and No Doubt's reps did not return HuffPost Entertainment's immediate request for comment.)
'Push and Shove,' No Doubt's sixth album, was released in 2012 and was the band's first record since 2001's 'Rock Steady.' The band has plans to perform at New York's Global Citizen's Festival on Sept. 27, and the show will be No Doubt's first live appearance in two years. ( Tony Kanal snapped a photo from what appeared to be rehearsals on Monday.) Stefani hasn't released a solo record since 2006's 'The Sweet Escape,' but she has been a season regular on 'The Voice,' alongside Pharrell.
