Mariah Carey 'frequently speaking' to director Brett Ratner

Most women who are going through a marriage breakup need a shoulder to cry on.
And it seems Mariah Carey has found the perfect person in film director Brett Ratner, according to the New York Post's Page Six column.
The Hero songstress has reportedly been spending a lot of time with the filmmaker, who has previously directed some of her music videos.
A source said: 'They speak frequently.'
Mariah and Nick, 33, had been living apart for weeks when they went their separate ways in August but are still close for the sake of their two children, three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon has broken his silence their divorce, saying: 'I feel great.'
Speaking to Mirror Online the charity event Get Lucky For Lupus LA at the Avalon, Hollywood, a smiling Nick said of his divorce: 'I feel great thanks, I'm healthy and I'm happy.'
Dressed in a black and white blazer, the America's Got Talent host posed up with Unbreak My Heart singer Toni Braxton on the red carpet. He certainly didn't look like he was missing Mazza one bit.
Later he spoke on stage of how he is getting on with his life as a single man.

He said: 'I wasn't to go out singing, dancing and playing poker, though I can't play that ,' adding: 'Last night I was in New York, I've been busy.'
Nick hosted the fundraising event to raise awareness for Lupus, a disease that can cause chronic fatigue, which he says he suffers from, describing himself as a 'fellow luppo.'
Other celebrities at the glittering event were Verne Troyer and AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys.
Nick and Butterfly singer Mariah, 44, hinted that their marriage had ended when Cannon appeared in public without a wedding ring.
Earlier this month it was confirmed they were seeking a divorce.
