Megan Hilty is officially a mommy now!
The Smash star and hubby Brian Gallagher welcomed a baby girl Thursday in New York City, the actress's rep confirmed to E! News Friday. So what did the Broadway star and her actor hubby name their new little lady? Viola Philomena!
Just as the 33-year-old actress told E! News back in June, she did indeed steer clear of the quirky Hollywood naming route. 'There are no fruits or animals or food in general for her name,' she promised.

'We have three possibilities and we are not telling anybody,' she said. 'We're just gonna meet her first and see which one fits her.'
And it looks like Viola Philomena was the winner!
Megan was already looking forward to being a mom then, but she was 'most excited about him being a dad,' she said, pointing to her hubby, 'and to get to do this with the best partner in the world.'
Aw! Congratulations to mom and dad on their little girl!
