Redskins lose Robert Griffin III, DeSean Jackson to injuries

LANDOVER, Md. - Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a left ankle injury. His replacement, Kirk Cousins, threw a 20-yard touchdown pass two plays later.

Griffin was hurt on a play in which he scrambled toward the sideline and managed to complete a 19-yard pass to wide receiver DeSean Jackson to the Jaguars 20-yard line. Griffin landed awkwardly as he went out of bounds.

Two plays later, Cousins hit fullback Darrel Young with a 20-yard touchdown pass.

The Redskins announced Griffin's return to the game was questionable. He was carted off the field with his left leg in an air cast but gave the fans a thumbs-up sign.
