Two deer made their way out of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge safely as drivers patiently let pass the animals, Friday.
A rare sight caused a traffic jam on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge for nearly 30 minutes but no one was complaining. A pair of deer was ambling along the bridge during rush hour Friday evening. The deer were headed out of the city towards the suburban Marin County, but quickly grabbed the attention by taking the unusual route. The news as expected went viral
According to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle, the California Highway Patrol received a call at 5.24 p.m., from the gridlocked drivers. But the animals made their way out before the officials arrived at the scene. But before they disappeared into their natural habitat, the pair threw quite a show. Drivers, passengers and the pedestrians were wowed by the view and took photos and videos of the deer before sharing it on Twitter and Instagram.
California Highway Patrol officer William Ogilvie said the department receives frequent calls about animal hazards on the road.
For the brief time that the deer were on the bridge, Twitter and Instagram was flooded with pictures and videos of the pair.
