Video surfaces of Ray Rice's domestic violence incident

It will be interesting to see if the NFL sticks with the two day suspension after this video.

WASHINGTON -- You may have seen the video of Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice dragging his then-fiancée out of an elevator in Atlantic City earlier this year, but now TMZ has posted video of the punch that happened before that.

On February 15, Rice and Janay Palmer got into an elevator at the Revel Hotel and Casino after exchanging words. The video shows that Rice hits Palmer, she hits back and then Rice punches her, knocking her to the floor. Her head hits the hand rail and she's knocked unconscious. When the elevator door opens, Rice takes the still knocked out Palmer, and drags her out of the elevator.

Rice and Palmer are now married.

The video was released a week after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he 'didn't get it right' in the way he handled the situation with Rice. Goodell suspended the Ravens running back for two games.

Last week, Goodell announced the NFL's tougher stance on domestic violence, a move that will result in a six-game suspension for a first offense and an indefinite ban for a second offense committed by any NFL personnel.
