Neither there are indications when they will begin updating their Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 models to Android 4.4 KitKat.
Samsung confirmed in early May that the International Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 model would not receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update due to incompatibility with RAM capacities. As according to Samsung, the 1GB of RAM in the International Galaxy S3 model is not enough to support the Android 4.4 operating system effectively. Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE models like the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S3 is still eligible for updates because they contain 2GB of RAM.
Users can head into the Settings ' General ' About phone ' Software updates menu to try and pull the update manually as of now, though that might not work all the time. OTA update will be arriving to all the users in sometime.
